Dear Sir,
The failure of Messrs J Cohen & Sons of this City, [1] will prevent your causing any further monthly payments to them on our account, as hitherto arranged between us,—and we have to request that on the first December next, you will pay the monthly sum of Four hundred pounds to Mr Emanl Lyons of No 76 South Street Finsbury. After that, say from 1st Jany. next, we would prefer your instructing your agents in Jamaica to give us Bills on you, @ 3 days Sight, at the commencement of each month and we will continue to supply your estates with monies as usual, allowing you the same rate of premium as before agreed on, our bearing the Expence of Stamps. Have the kindness to give instructions to this effect in your next communications to Jamaica. The writer proceeds out in the packet of the 2nd December and purposes returning in 4 or 5 months when our future agency will be established and with your concurrence, the old arrangement will be again resumed. In the meantime we trust that you will sanction the deviation as proposed
