I read in a paper that Mrs Browning had turned professedly Spiritual Rapper; except that funny things do occur now and then, it would seem incredible that so wise a woman could give her sanction to such damned rot, particularly having such an intellect for a husband who of course hates the loathesome cant as the foulest stenches of hell. …
