My dear Uncle

I have deferred writing to you until today, thinking it probably I might by this time, hear from Mr Browning about the Pictures, but no letter is come & as you have no Post on Sunday I will wait no longer. I wrote to Mr Browning immediately after receiving your letter, enclosing your full address & requesting him to be kind enough to intrust the Pictures to a competent person, who wd relieve him of all further trouble, by packing them properly & forwarding them to you, with his bill & a notice when they were despatched; so you may perhaps hear of them before I do; I feel sure they have not been otherwise disposed of: probably Mr Browning will say the account of what he has disbursed to me. …
