Here I am at 11 o’clock at night just returned from our friend Chorley’s—a neighbour of ours in the Square—where I have been dining with Barry Cornwall and Browning; and as you may imagine been enjoying a great treat: glorious Robert Browning is as ever—but more genial—more brilliant—and more anecdotical than when we knew him four years ago.– ..

To night we have been talking much of you. Robert Browning especially speaks of you to every one.
