Dear Master
Your kind present of my coat trowsers & waistcoat I received from Your Ship & must now return my humble & sincere thanks to Master although I canot [sic] express the joy that pervades in my bosom to see that Master does alway remember his unworthy servant & I am more than happy to hear that Master & son are well[.] I received Masters letter from the post office on the 14th February & I find that Master did not rem[em]ber to send the articles writen for but before I was in the receipt of your letter I thought Master did not received the letter[.] Master said I must not impute the omission to say that it is—a disposition not to oblige me far be it that I should say so Master before your letter came to hand I knew that it was something or other prevented Master to send them[.]
From Masters letter I find what was the complaint against the coffee last year so I will try my best endeavour with the little we has this year not to let master find any fault I am happy to inform Master that every thing is going on well & satisfactory on this Property only we face the dry much in the early part of February I am also happy to tell master that I was down at Cinnamonhill in the early of January & find every thing is going on in a proper & satisfactory manner. I am happy to tell master that I and all my Family are quite well at present[.] Mrs Samuells begs particularly to be rem[em]bered to Master Charles[.] I asked my Attorney to beg Master to let those stock that is at Cambridge remain there for fear of bringing any disease on this property[.] I am glad to state that all the People on this property is behaving quite well only they complains of the rent being heavy so if Master can do any thing towards the reduction of them I will be very happy
