This is positively the very first moment I have found to write a word—& it is but a moment, so I must make haste. … I went to Peabody– He is ill, to ill to sit for his bust … Lady Lam[p]son at whose house he is staying gives me a room to model my sketch in … Tuesday evg I saw Lady Wm—she looked better than I expected—though she has fallen off since one saw her & is aging. … She tells me Browning is here—& I shall take the first opportunity to see him. Penny goes up to Oxford this month. …
