Gentlemen

My Sister, who since her last communication with you, has married Mr Browning, has left for Pisa, where she purposes passing the winter; it is therefore impossible for her to inspect the Proofs you have enclosed; and indeed she expressed no desire to have any, as she has great confidence in the accuracy of your Printers.

The Messrs Duncun [sic] published for her in I think the year 1832 a translation of the ‘Prometheus,’ but all the unsold copies were by her directions consigned to the tomb some years back. I regret that I cannot now forward to you a copy, but I trust that I shall be able to do so upon my return to Town early in November.

‘An account of the early Christian Poets,’ and articles upon the English Poets published in the Athenæum in I think 1843, are the only prose compositions of my Sister that have been made public.

Your very flattering note I will forward to Italy.
