Dear Sir
I have taken the liberty of adressing [sic] you with these few lines which I hope will find you and your Family in a parfect state of helt. I have been returned back to this Estate accorden to Mr Jump—whiches for he told me to for get all Old things, and Old Edward Barret, who is now died told me to write you & let you know that I have returned from the 3rd of Octr 1845 for that <is> the time I have returned to the <Es>tate but I could not for it was in a very bad condition I could not write. but from sence Mr Roberts came all things are going on well, for the condition that the Estate are in now give me a good heart to write you Sir, I am now giting very very weak and the rainey weather is severe so I wi<ll> kindly oblige if you will send for your Servent a warm cloke to go through the Cane field. This is all that I have to said I hope you ar in good healt, I will kindly Oblige if you will answer me by the next packet[.]
