SD1476. Mary Russell Mitford to William Cox Bennett
As published in The Brownings’ Correspondence, 17, 266 (in part).
Three Mile Cross
15 April 1851
My dear friend,
I continue very poorly—lame in the same way from my legs and feet swelling. … My friend Mrs. Browning wrote to me the other day to say that she is coming here next May—I mean to England—going to Rome and Naples first—and then they mean to settle finally in Paris– She did not mention the new Poem– All that she has done since her marriage has been bad– That Anti Slavery affair was really disgusting–
