Have you seen Miss Barrett’s last, “Casa Guidi Windows?” If you have not, & are among the list of her admirers, you must send for it. The American edition publishes with it some of her last minor poems, which are equal to anything she has written before, & which I have just been looking over with the greatest delight. I wish I were sure you would not have it before this reaches you, & I should take the pleasure of sending it to you. It is quite as well as it is, however, since you may be one of the people who regard Miss Barrett & all her productions with a holy horror. …
