… I dine tomorrow at Mrs Clark’s, Miss Coltman that was. I have taken particularly to her there is a simplicity and inocence [sic] and goodness about her quite peculiar do you know her? I delight also in the Brownings. She poor thing can only whisper but when the cold goes she will be better. This is still a nice place to live in spite of all. Society is so easy and one may do what one pleases …
