Thanks upon thanks dearest Mr. Bennett for your unwearied kindness. … Fancy Mrs. Browning making herself miserable about my mention of her brother! Is not it absurd? 15 years after, and after she herself had run away.– A French Professor giving lectures upon English Poetry in Paris seems to have got hold of my book, as a sort of text book– So that was the way she heard it first—but really I have no sympathy for such morbidity of feeling—or rather such affection—as well might poor Mrs. Warburton take a fit of agony 15 years hence at the name of The Amazon– Is not it absurd? …
