I go to Dover tomorrow with the Wills’s so I mean to write to you today because I may not be able to write so long a letter there, as I am not even to have a room to myself. …
I went the other day to call on the Brownings and saw them both—also the small Browning asleep. He seemed very pretty but fearfully spoiled. Mrs Browning looks very ill, and Browning very cross and ill tempered, but I hope he only looks so. They are going back to Italy in about a week. They desired all sorts of kind messages to you, and regrets at not having seen or heard from you before you went. …
