Thank God for all the good news you were able to send me– …

I am writing, or rather scratching this line in Welbeck St to go in Ba’s letter– I was just sitting down at my own desk in Wimpole St, when I had a summons from Ba to come here instantly– I found them on arrival in the greatest excitement, as their landlady had been most impertinent, and they had determined on leaving the house today—so I have been to yr old lodgings in Bentinck St & have taken them for a month—a week, I meant to say– I wish it had indeed been for a month, but it is getting late for Ba, & so I must not be selfish. … Penini insisted on writing a “ti amo.” It must go to his new cousin–
