My dear George
I do not know what construction I am to put upon your total neglect of the letter I wrote to you now more than a twelve month ago, but whatever your strange silence may have arisen from, it is my duty again to urge on you to determine something, & that immediately, as respects your Daughter, who, you know, has been here since Midsummer last, waiting anxiously your decision as to her future residence.
I will add nothing more for you cannot but be sensible how distressing it must be for her to be left in this state of suspence, without the means of supplying many wants.
I subjoin my account to the 28th Jany. 1853—balance due me £504..9..2¾. & the particulars of which are on the other side–
