Villa Brichiere

Bellosguardo.

Tuesday [sic, for Wednesday] [13 July 1853]

Dear Mr Powers,

Mr & Mrs Browning, have kindly said that they will come & take tea with me, at the villa this evening, and I have also asked Mr Tennyson to come, should you have nothing better to do, I hope you will come also– It is so cool & pleasant up here. You know the house, I think, Greenough’s old villa—at Bellosguardo.

Faithfully yrs

R. B Lytton
