Dear Nonno,

I saw a large sun on the sky—a large country, with cows making holes—and the water fall I saw—like a fountain—& with the smoke coming out of the water on the rocks, all the time with oil on it—& I saw very pretty mountains with trees—& now I see some more sun & blue sky mixed altogether—blue & white—& with pink mountains. I will be at Rome today night. I saw a quantity of cows & sheep & little lambs. I went to the old church where the monks live & pictures of gentle Jesus—& pictures of the brothers,—and in the [illegible word] the statues of the people who lived before in Florence a long time. I think this be enough. I love you Sarianna very much. I want to let Nonno see my desk when in Paris– Goodbye Nonno but still I will see you another time after I been to Rome.
