Dearest Henrietta–

I was going to write to you last Saturday, but Bummy said she wished to write herself—& after all, I find she never did so– What must you think of me for never writing to tell you of Arlette. All is going on well. I have seen her once. She is so nicely & the little baby is sweet– You shall hear from me in a day or two. How are you celebrating Altham’s birthday– Oh, that I could see you! I am so grieved you did not receive this letter today—but to confess the truth, it completely escaped my memory. I have no time to add more.
