I will take care that your proposal shall be fairly considered by Lord Hardinge who however may not think it right to accept it but he could not entertain any project of the kind unless it be had with the Colonel’s consent.
What we now want however is men– The lack of our Regiments is there & to complete them is the pressing necessity at this moment.
