My dear Forster
I hope that many days will not pass without bringing me a letter from you. And mine henceforward must be more frequent as I use myself to the harness I have to wear here. … I have had a long letter from the Brownings wh has given me that pleasure their letters always bring me; and out of this sand-desert of apes & ourang-outangs the sound of real human voices is refreshing. …
