But (this is between ourselves) I should fear that both the large Reviews would shrink from the kindly & generous & truthful boldness with which you are likely to speak out on our admirable friend. …

When you see the Brownings do not let them suppose that I forget them, or suspect that they forget me. I should be unhappy if they did. …
