Monitore d’Italia.
I Francesi hanno preso due mila Russi prigionieri. Anche gli Inglesi e Francesi hanno ammazzato cento Russi e preso bombe e cannonì.
In via di Grenelle c’e una bottega di vino dove si vende rhume, cogniac, sciampagna, e tutti gli altri vini.
Dispaccio telegrafico.—— I Piedemontesi hanno preso cinque mila cannoni dai Tedeschi.
Si spera che Sebastopoli sara presto affatto presa. I soldati Russi hanno molta paura. Abbiamo gran piacere che la torre di Malakoff sia gia presa.
Il palazzo Reale è un bel posto. Ci sono belle botteghe tutto intorno, e c’e dentro pesci e tartarughe.
Il Signor Browning della Rue de Grenelle, lui ha scritto un libro. Il nome è “Uomini e Donne.” Io credo c’e scritto dentro tutte le cose che fanno gli uomini e che fanno le donne,—e dice, io credo anche, che le donne cucino, e che gli uomini lavorano, e che gli uomini sono piu bravi delle donne. Questi libri sono molto buoni e molto belli, e si vendono caro,—per uno scudo e mezzo, l’uno.

The French have captured two thousand Russians. Also the English and French have killed one hundred Russians and taken bombs and cannons.
In Via di Grenelle there is a wine shop where rum, cognac, champagne and all other wines are sold.
Telegraphic Dispatch.—— The Piedemontesi have taken five thousands cannons from the Germans.
It is hoped that Sebastopol will soon be taken. The Russian soldiers are in great fear. We are very pleased that the tower of Malakoff has already been taken.
The Royal palace is a beautiful place. There are beautiful stores all around, and inside there are fishes and turtles.
Mr Browning of Rue de Grenelle has written a book. The name is “Men and Women.” I think it says inside the book all the things that men and women do,—and say, I think also, that women sew, and that men work, and that men are cleverer than women. These books are very good and very beautiful, and the price is expensive,—a scudo and half per volume.
