Didn’t our last letters cross each other? I think however I had one of yours since, & have had many intentions, in the interval, of writing to you– I really meant to have done it last month in Paris when Rossetti & I went together—& where among many wonderful & grand remembrances I have the great one of passing a most delightful evening with one known & admired by you—Browning—& E.B.B. “they twain are one”—do you like his new Vols. I enjoyed them very much—& immensely more than Maud—which none—but the credulous few—Hughes & Wo[o]lner—believe to be satisfactory– …
