My subjects in the new Tennyson are The Palace of Art, Galahad (with two drawings apiece) …

No doubt you are revelling, as I am, in Aurora Leigh—by far the greatest work of its author surely, and almost beyond anything for exhaustless poetic resource. It seems, as far as I have got, to promise much more fully, as the expression of social truths by a great poet, than Tennyson’s Maud. I am so glad of the good news you give me about Mrs. Browning. She certainly seemed very much fagged towards the end of her stay in London. …
