We have read Aurora Leigh and rejoice in its good and great and beautiful thoughts. But tell me, is it a poem or a novel in high verse? It seems to me not a poem and yet it may be, I know; one whose melody I have not yet learnt, but must learn from itself if I am ever to learn it at all. …
