I shall be very anxious to know what you think of Aurora Leigh (Mrs. Browning’s poem); read it first and write to me immediately. … I have had a little legacy. Mr. Kenyon has left me 100£, about 650 Thaler. I had no claim on him. His sister-in-law at Vienna will have 25000£ (about 150,000 Thaler). My dear friends the Brownings 10,000 (about 70,000 Thaler) (to my great delight), and my friend Mrs. Procter about 35,000 Thaler.
