SD2184.  Dante Gabriel Rossetti to Ford Madox Brown

As published in The Brownings’ Correspondence, 25, 358 (in part).

[London]

[ca. July 1858]

Dear Brown,

Will you allow me to introduce to you Major Gillum, an intimate friend of the Brownings. Robert B. requested, in a letter which he kindly gave him for me, that I would obtain him a sight of your studio. He has another wish in visiting you, which is to obtain some lessons in landscape if possible, but of this no doubt he will speak to you. You will, I am sure, be glad to know him and to hear his last news of the Brownings. …

Publication: Rossetti, 2, 210 (as ca. 13 April 1858).

Manuscript: University of British Columbia.
