My dearest Papa

I heard from uncle John the day before yesterday. We are so melancholy without you! I think I shall have a good many pieces of poetry to say to you, when you come back again. I was up early this morning, doing my lessons & had nearly done all my lessons before breakfast, we learn our lessons at night now, while their at dinner. Dearest Papa when will you come back again? Uncle Septimus is coming to you on Saturday. He brought a dog to Oswestry & lost it there. Mary had such a beautiful present yesterday! some soldiers in a globe, it was uncle Septimus who gave it to her. I am very glad to hear you like the grapes which John left for you.
