Wm. Allingham, the as-yet-small poet, passed through here the other day—having been as far as Venice, and now returning to his native Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal. At Paris he saw Thackeray and his daughters—despairing (viz. Thackeray) about the uncontinuable Virginians—Also Browning and Mrs. Browning, but on the eve of their flight to Florence.
