My dearest Tottie,

We first saw it in the Times, and the news flew like wildfire in the house. … Where are you going to when Rome gets unhealthy, if you are going to stay till August in Italy. And how come the Brownings in Rome? Will you give my very kindest regards to her, and my kind regards to him. (I liked her better than him; perhaps for the reason that might be that he fell asleep while I was talking to him) …
