It becomes our melancholy Duty to give you the earliest information of the Death of our much esteemed Friend your respected Father Mr Chas Moulton– He died on the 19th Ulto after a very short illness of six Days in which medical Skill and Attention were exerted in vain– The Habits of Intimacy which have subsisted between us for many years, gave us ample opportunities of knowing his good qualities, and we feel accordingly the loss we have sustained in him as a Friend while we duly appreciate the more distressing sensations such an event must naturally wake in your Breast– We beg leave to assure you that our best Abilities shall be exerted for improving his Estate, and for the general Management of his Affairs, which are however very considerably embarrassed by numerous and heavy Debts– A Copy of the Will is inclosed—on which subject we shall be obliged by your communication as soon as convenient– We are– Sir
