Dear Mrs Story,

I shall be most glad to see your friends & yourself. But, although you kindly renounce the front seat, there shall be no lack of chairs. Mr & Mrs Browning I shall naturally be greatly pleased to shew my drawgs to.

Only—please come by 12—not later—chiefly because several others knowing it is my day for being at home, may also come,—& if they are the earliest, I cannot, you know, expel them from the front seats.
