In the evening had to dinner Pantaleonis, Paynes, Browning, Dawsons, Clarke, Russell. Browning highly amusing. Payne says he saw the Cenci papers lately sold as is after said for 500 Dollars which he considers an enormous price. They contained in his opinion only one curious document, a letter of Beatrice making some request. They came from Bolognettis—descendants of the Cenci. Kirkup has a book with the autograph of Francesci Cenci the father.
