As published in The Brownings’ Correspondence, 27, 347.

Rome

1860 Mar. 22.

Spent the day at Albano with Clem & Browning. The day fine but the country backward. Looked at houses for summer. Walked to Galloro & through the galleries round by Castel Gandolfo. Enjoyed myself excessively. On returning home heard of Martino’s departure for Naples.

Publication: None traced.

Manuscript: Northamptonshire Record Office.
