I was very sorry to miss you, and very glad to hear from you. …

I know no more than yourself of the matter of Browning’s Poem though he told me of it (and of an additional series of Men & Women in progress!) when he wrote to me lately and sent the portraits. I had given him a splendid cast of Keats’s head, which I got from Donovan of King William Street (the same I once had before & broke if you remember). I had a mould taken by Munro before I sent the cast off, so can let you have a copy if you care to be put in mind of mere strawberry-merchants. …
