I’m wanting to copy and illustrate some poem of mine in the album of a kind & good lady …

You know William is back from Florence &c.—having found the Brownings at Siena—the great one exuberant as ever. I had a request the other day to illustrate Aurora Leigh, from, or rather on the part of, the publisher, but really I don’t think I could make much of it. However, if it were done by various hands, I should like to make one among them. R.B. was not very explicit to William on the subject of his present labours. …
