Dearest Miss Browning

You will see by my writing that dear Mr Browning cannot do so just yet—and these few lines will tell you how anxious and afflicted he is on account of the very serious and dangerous attack of congestion of the lungs which fills us all with dread on account of our angel Ba. He is so unutterably good and devoted, & God has made him so strong and true that whatever happens God will do more for him than any of us can, though He knows I will do my best.
