Dear Sir

It is with no small pleasure that I sit down to write you. I beleive [sic] you are indebted to me three letters. My Father, (I suppose you have heard that he is come) intends to do himself the pleasure of going down to Newcastle in the summer, but I am afraid I cannot be of his party; however I intend to do myself the pleasure of being down as soon as possible. Sam joins me in love to Mrs C. and all your sweet family. And I remain yours,
