… I am anxious to know whether you have commenced or completed yr projected selection of Browning’s Poems and whether yr. idea as to the review still holds good. On reflection I think it will need careful revisal—the objection expressed in yr last letter to the present M.S. is I feel very sound, and I shall be glad to recast the whole with the benefit of yr. advice & suggestions, whenever you may think it advisable. … Pray give my warmest love to Browning, & tell him that I will soon write to him. I owe long amends to him & other friends for the comatose state in wh I have been for the last month. Also to Isa Blagden whom I hope you see often as I hear she is living next door to B. I owe her an answer to a long & kind letter. I have only just discovered my Baptismal Certificate at the Spa Church Gloucester & find by this document that I was—30 on the 8th of last month—sad! sad! …
