Left our dearest Altham & Edward, and came to London, per Express, to dear Arabel’s, 7. Delamere Terrace. Once more held in my arms our precious Mary. Ocky and little Charlie here. Robert Browning and his son, who are in lodgings hard by, came in the evening. Such a tall boy “Penni”—as they call him—is grown. He has a sweet smile and is very intelligent, but I do not like his calling his aunt and uncle—“Arabel”—“Ocky”! it sounds pert—and disagreeable. Strange, the three widowers assembled together, it seemed—!
