Hope End

Decr 28th 1820

My dearest Storm

I hope I shall live to see you as good, as happy, and as clever as you are now, when grey hairs are on your head, & wrinkles on your rosy cheeks.

now play with me at bat & ball

And pray take care you do not fall

Or knock your head against the wall

For that would be no fun at all

Happy happy happy day!

Away we go to laugh & play!

Your affecte.

Sam
