Dear Sir,

We beg to enclose a notice in duplicate of the assignment by John Hedley Esq: of his life interest in the funds subject to the Trusts of his marriage-settlement of which you are a Trustee.

We shall be obliged by your signing the memorandum endorsed on one of the copies and by your afterwards returning the signed copy to us.

We find that £2500 are lent on the Bonds of the North and South Western Junction Railway Company and that £1500 are lent on the Bonds of the London and North Western Railway Company.

The securities are lodged with Messrs Cox of Craigs Court Charing Cross in the joint names of the Trustees.

We find by a memorandum that the settlement was sent by us to Mr Woodcock of Dublin (Sir Thomas Butler’s Solicitor) on the 26th May 1857.

Do you know where it now is? and would it not be well that it should be deposited at Mr John Hedley’s Bankers in the joint names of the Trustees? This is the usual course.
