[28 May] [?1821]
To dear Papa
On his birthday
I hope that you will
Not make me stand still
For now Tippy is come here
You must love her very dear
So now my muse
You must not abuse.
Let us skip and let us play
On this very merry day
But now as you are
Going to malvern so far
We must be away
Or else you will not get there today
I wish you Good bye
For in the air I shall fly.
Your affectionate Sam.
Address, on integral page: for the king / of the day.

Manuscript: Berg Collection.
