Sir:

I wrote you some time since on the subject of the Legacy and debt due me from my late Brother Georges Estate. Necessity must be my excuse for again troubling you—if you can assist me in the matter I shall really feel obliged as I am much in need of Money at present—permit me Sir to observe that I am of opinion tho my Brothers Estate may not yet be out of Debt and that occasions the nonpayment of the Legacy I am certainly entitled to be placed on as good a footing as the other Creditors, which assuredly is not the case, never having received any part of my demand. Let me entreat you will take this into your consideration and tho’ you may not conceive the property sufficiently clear to pay my Legacy and Arrears you will at least discharge my claim for the Negroes sold to Mr Walker by my Brother George the 25 of May 1795 bearing interest from that date, the first Sum was 400—I beg to be favor’d with an answer as soon as your convenience will permit—direct for me No 11 Manchester Street, Manchester Square, London; Should you come to Town I shall be hapy to see you,
