My dearest Henrietta
According to promise I sit down to write you a line, to tell you of dearest Ba’s illness to day, she is certainly bett<er> her po<or pu>lse is more regular and her spirits very good[.] she has been free from pain to day except during her spasms the first of which was very long, three hours all but a quarter, though mild, the second sixty four minutes and as mild the paroxism of the last was particularly so, the third has not yet come on[.] I will write again soon, pray write to me believe me your affectionate.
