As published in The Brownings’ Correspondence, 32, 348–349.

19. Warwick Crescent.

Oct. 30th [?1866]

My dear Mr Allingham,

The desirable man’s name and address are C. Paley, Bootmaker, 26, Eagle St Holborn—to the best of my brother’s knowledge and belief– I put in this saving clause because he cannot at the moment refer to written documents for the number, which he feels sure, however, is 26–

It was also a very great pleasure to me to meet you again, and one which I hope will be often repeated.

Believe me always

Very truly yours

Sarianna Browning.

Publication: None traced.

Manuscript: Armstrong Browning Library.
