My dearest Addles
Sam is just returned, wet through, but not appearing the worse for his ride. His account makes me feel very uneasy about my poor Boys; Stormy I know will be Managed Easily, but I fear there will be More trouble with poor Henry & Alfred. I knew not h<ow> they are to <be> kept in bed. Pray let us hear Every particular by Every opportunity– Ba has been very Easy all today Excepting in the paroxysm, which is the same– Mrs Pitt kindly sent her a partridge, the breast of which she Enjoyed for her dinner with bread sauce & then took two hours comfortable sleep– Bro has been suffering from Eating too many plums, two of Ba’s pills, not being sufficient, a dose of the Water was added this Morng, & that a good black dose, at Dr Barons recommendation, so that he has had a very busy day of it, & is gone to bed tonight nearly quite well, but he will not go to school tomorrow, or the next day, unless he is quite recovered– I had a letter from Grandmama today– Jane is to be married some day in the next week I believe they are all well & merry– Good night my Sweet Love– Ba & Bro desire loves & kisses in abundance– Remember me kindly to Mrs O.– Ever your own affecte Mother–
Mary Scarlett is married to Mr Brissett. They are gone to Worthing.
