My darling Mary,

We are very glad indeed to hear of Uncle George’s arrival, in such good health. Give him our best love, and tell him how sorry I am he did not come while we were in London. Papa says he dare not extend your leave of absence now, it is so important that you and Edward should set to work, after all your holidays, and with the long summer ones coming so quickly– I have written to Miss Berry, and settled that you should travel by flying Express tomorrow at ¼ before 12. Mind your time!

Darling Edward is going to the Rectory this evening with us– We had such a beautiful service at Willington on Tuesday. I have no time for more, but hope for a chat tomorrow.

Best love to Aunt Arabel, and Aunt Marie. Tell Uncle George, I hope he will soon come and see us at Stoke Court.
