Dear Sir,
From the continuing increase of the debts due to us in Jamaica, I am sorry to say, we find ourselves rather in want of Funds—particularly at this season of the year: I therefore request to know if you have any objections, to accept our 2 dfts on you, for £6,000 each, at 12 |mth| date, made payable at your Bankers. This will be an accomodation to us, & we will engage to keep you harmless.
I always am Dear Sir
Yrs faithfully
C Robertson
P.S. on second thoughts, I beg to enclose the dfts for your acceptance—together with a Letter from us engaging to provide for the payment of the same.
