Whilst Apollo lends his aid to those, he thinks most worthy, it must suffice for me to call in, contentment, who I know always dwells with you my ever dearest Papa that you may forgive the muse & me today, as the former is employed with much better subjects, and does not deign to honour me with his assistance; and as the latter I must confess is totally disabled without his aid. But while Apollo flies, I hope dearest Papa will not think these lines less void of that affection which although I always feel for one who is so dear to me, I cannot always express as warmly as I would. May dearest Papa live to see many many of these happy days, enjoying his usual ruddy health, & undisturbed felicity, and always believe his Henrietta

to be his most affecte Child.
